Modbus RS485 to LoRaWAN Bridge — Connect RS485 Devices to LoRaWAN Networks

The LR485LW is a LoRaWAN Class C device that bridges Modbus RS485 RTU devices to a LoRaWAN network. Use it to bring data from any RS485 meter, sensor, or controller into The Things Network, a private LoRaWAN server, or any LoRaWAN-compatible cloud platform.

LoRaWAN vs Private LoRa

Unlike the LOMO (private LoRa), the LR485LW connects to LoRaWAN infrastructure — public networks (TTN, Helium) or private LoRaWAN servers. This makes it suitable for deployments that already have LoRaWAN gateway infrastructure in place, or for projects where standard LoRaWAN protocols are a requirement.
