Maintaining clean and odour-free public washrooms is a major challenge for malls, airports, hotels, and office buildings. AHOYSYS smart washroom sensors automate odour detection, footfall counting, and exhaust fan control — enabling facility managers to respond to real-time washroom conditions rather than relying on scheduled cleaning rounds.
Our ammonia sensors detect toilet odour levels and automatically trigger exhaust fans when thresholds are crossed. People counter sensors track visitor frequency and feed data into dashboards that generate cleaning schedule recommendations based on actual usage patterns rather than fixed timetables.
Mobile app for janitors and supervisors
The AHOYSYS smart washroom system includes a mobile app for Android and iOS that sends push notifications directly to janitors and supervisors. Alerts are triggered in two ways:
- Odour alert — when the ammonia / odour sensor reading crosses a set threshold, the nearest available janitor receives an immediate notification to attend to the washroom.
- Footfall alert — when a configured number of visitors (e.g. every 20 people) have used the washroom, a cleaning reminder is sent automatically — regardless of odour levels.
Supervisors receive a separate notification if an alert has not been acknowledged or acted upon within a set response time, ensuring accountability and faster resolution. All alert history, response times, and cleaning logs are available in the web dashboard for audit and compliance reporting.
