The LOFI is a compact, easy-to-deploy LoRa gateway that uses WiFi as its backhaul to the cloud. It bridges up to 50 Ahoy LoRa devices within a 400-metre line-of-sight radius without a SIM card, cellular data plan, or LoRaWAN network subscription. Setup takes under 5 minutes using a mobile hotspot provisioning flow.

Private LoRa Network — No Third-Party Involvement

LOFI operates on Ahoy's private LoRa protocol — not LoRaWAN. Your sensor data travels directly from the LoRa device to LOFI to your cloud account. No third-party network operator, no per-device activation fees, no shared network infrastructure. The network is yours — like a private WiFi network but with 400-metre wireless range.

Setup in 5 Minutes

Power on the LOFI. Create a hotspot on your phone. The device broadcasts a local configuration page — enter your WiFi SSID and password. Turn off your hotspot. LOFI connects to your WiFi and begins receiving data from all Ahoy LoRa devices in range immediately.

Works With

All Ahoy private LoRa sensors and devices — temperature and humidity sensors, soil moisture probes, pulse counters, occupancy sensors, relay modules, and streetlight controllers. Up to 50 devices per gateway. Multiple LOFI gateways can be deployed in the same area for extended coverage.
