Group Streetlight Controller with CCMS — 4G, IP65

The GLCRTU4G is a 4G-connected group streetlight controller installed inside feeder pillars to automate and remotely manage an array of streetlights — from a handful in a private compound to thousands across a municipality. It connects to the Ahoy CCMS (Centralised Control and Management System), a map-based dashboard where staff can view real-time lamp status, set schedules, monitor energy consumption, and manage field maintenance.

How It Works

The GLCRTU connects to a contactor inside the feeder pillar to switch the streetlight circuit on and off. A manual override switch lets field technicians bypass the controller safely during maintenance. The built-in 4G modem reports status, uptime, and energy readings to the CCMS cloud in real time. If connectivity is lost, the built-in RTC timer and autonomous mode keep the lights running on schedule.

Centralised Control and Management System (CCMS)

  • Map-based asset view — see every feeder pillar and its connected streetlights on a live map
  • Remote scheduling — set on/off times and dimming profiles from the CCMS dashboard
  • Uptime monitoring — health ping system reports controller status continuously; offline alerts sent to staff
  • Fault detection — luminaire failures detected by tracking energy consumption deviations
  • Daily automated reports — uptime summaries emailed to designated staff
  • Role-based access — administrators, supervisors, and field engineers each see only what they need

Scale: Small Compound to Smart City

A single GLCRTU4G can control 1 to 500 streetlights. The CCMS scales from a private compound with 10 lights to a municipal network with tens of thousands — same controller, same dashboard, same workflow. Multiple GLCRTU units across different feeder pillars all appear on the same map view.

Use Cases

  • Municipalities and smart city projects — centralised monitoring and scheduling across all feeder pillars
  • Industrial estates and SEZs — automated streetlighting with consumption monitoring per zone
  • Highways and expressways — remote schedule control and fault detection without field visits
  • Private campuses and townships — energy-efficient scheduling with uptime accountability
